Nordic Nail Academy is operated by Sandra Sirvydė, Individual Activity Certificate No. 1505002 ("Nordic Nail Academy", "we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you visit nordicnailacademy.com, purchase a digital course or consultation, create an account, or otherwise communicate with us. Our store is hosted by Shopify.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you use the store, we may collect:
• contact and identity information, such as your name, email address, telephone number, billing address and account details;
• order and transaction information, including products purchased, order number, payment status and refund history;
• consultation information that you provide when arranging an appointment, such as your time zone, availability and questions;
• communications sent to customer support;
• device, browser, IP address, cookie, analytics and website usage information;
• marketing preferences and consent records.
Payment information is processed by Shopify and its payment providers. We generally do not receive complete payment-card details.
2. HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION
We collect information directly from you, automatically through the website and cookies, and from service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, fraud-prevention providers, analytics providers and email or digital-delivery services.
3. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES
We use personal information to:
• process payments, deliver PDF courses, arrange consultations and perform our contract with you;
• provide customer support, handle refunds and resolve technical problems;
• maintain accounts, secure the store and prevent fraud;
• comply with accounting, tax, consumer-protection and other legal obligations;
• improve our website, products and customer experience based on our legitimate interests;
• send marketing communications where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe at any time.
Where European Economic Area or UK data-protection law applies, our legal bases may include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, legitimate interests and consent.
4. SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may share information only as reasonably necessary with Shopify and service providers that support hosting, payments, digital delivery, email, analytics, customer support, security, professional advice and legal compliance. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, to investigate fraud, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell personal information for money.
Shopify processes information in accordance with its own privacy terms. More information is available in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/app-users and the Shopify Privacy Portal at https://privacy.shopify.com/en.
5. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Shopify and other service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers outside the EEA or UK are protected by recognised safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
6. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted, support advertising. Where required, optional cookies are used only after consent. You can manage choices through the cookie banner and browser settings.
7. RETENTION
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing purchased content, handling disputes and meeting tax, accounting and legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and applicable law.
8. SECURITY
We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards and rely on Shopify's security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a data-protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
EEA residents may complain to their local supervisory authority. In Lithuania, the supervisory authority is the State Data Protection Inspectorate. You may also use Shopify's privacy portal for information processed independently by Shopify.
10. MARKETING CHOICES
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional communications needed to fulfil orders, deliver purchased content or respond to requests.
11. CHILDREN
The store is not intended for children below the age at which they can lawfully enter into online purchases in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children unlawfully. A parent or guardian may contact us to request appropriate action.
12. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
